Template - Solid Models

The template structures available using the Solid Models form consist of a thick arch, a prism, a variable arch and a block.

Choose the type of solid model by clicking on it in the Solid Model Type drop-down list in the upper left corner of the form. A drawing of the selected type will be shown in the small display box.

Note:  Click the Parametric Definition button to display a drawing illustrating the following parameters.

TIP: Click the + (plus) symbol next to the drop-down list to access the Area Sections form; use that form to add, modify or delete an area section definition. The Assign menu > Areas > Area Sections command can be used to change the section property later, if needed.

Access the Solid Models form as follows:

  1. Click the File menu > New Model command to display the New Model form.

  2. Set the Units to Metric or English using the Initialize Model from Defaults with Units drop-down list or the Initialize from Existing Model option.

  3. Click the Solid Models button.
